We depart tomorrow, if all goes as planned we will arrive in Edinburgh on the 22nd just after 10:00 a.m. After taking the airport bus to the city centre we will board the train to Inverness and should arrive there at 5:00 p.m. The google map can give you some perspective.
We will not be covering a lot of ground on this trip. Rather than a driving tour we plan to 'slow travel' by staying in an area for a longer period of time in self-catering accommodation. Although, there will be a some nights spent in a B&B as we make our way north. This trip is all about the north of Scotland, our plan is to make a loop of the northwest, beginning and ending in Inverness with a few longer stops in Orkney and the Isle of Lewis and Harris.
